Home Energy Score

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A HOME ENERGY SCORE ASSESSOR?

ASHI is partnering with the Department of Energy to develop the Home Energy Score program.

Work with a participating Home Energy Score Partner. To offer the Home Energy Score to homeowners, Assessors work directly with Home Energy Score Partners. Interested inspectors should contact Jen Gallegos at ASHI jeng@ashi.org to get started in the program of becoming an assessor.

Hold a relevant credential. Individuals interested in becoming Assessors must also hold a relevant credential. The Home Energy Score program recognizes ASHI membership as a prerequisite to becoming a Home Energy Score Assessor.

Complete the training.  After setting up an account with ASHI and the DoE, the HEScore Assessor in training must complete 1- An online simulation training with a written test, 2- Be mentored on their first score.  Contact treasurer@macashi.org with any questions about the HEScore Assessor training process.

Score Homes.  After completing the training, a Home Energy Score Assessor will receive logos/materials/information to provide the HEScore to homeowners who are interested in improving their energy efficiency.
