ASHI is partnering with the Department of Energy to develop the Home Energy Score program.

Hold a relevant credential. Individuals interested in becoming Assessors must also hold a relevant credential. The Home Energy Score program recognizes ASHI membership as a prerequisite to becoming a Home Energy Score Assessor.
Complete the training. After setting up an account with ASHI and the DoE, the HEScore Assessor in training must complete 1- An online simulation training with a written test, 2- Be mentored on their first score.
